Elizabeth I was an extraordinary queen, and many of her subjects loved her. Elizabeth ruled for about half a century, and although she had some little bumps in the road, she managed to become one of the most well-respected rulers in history.
Elizabeth's Childhood
Elizabeth I was born September 7th, 1533, at Greenwich Palace, London, in the Chamber of the Virgins. The people had lit five hundred torches in order to bring light of the room. The baby was then named Elizabeth. Before Elizabeth was born, letters were sent out. Most said, "Good speed in the deliverance of bringing forth of a prince." Yet, as it was a girl, they had added in "s" to "prince". In Tudor time, "princess" could be spelled with only one "s". Elizabeth's father, Henry VIII, and her mother, Anne Boleyn, had two other children who ruled before Elizabeth. Edward, the first to rule, was crowned king at the age of nine, when King Henry VIII died in 1547. Mary, Elizabeth's half sister, was crowned queen when Edward died in 1553. When Mary died in 1558, Elizabeth took over the throne. Before Elizabeth even turned three, her father had executed her mother. Anne Boleyn was beheaded on the Tower Green on May 19, 1536. Although Elizabeth's siblings were devastated, they had to move on with their lives in the royal family.
Early Life as England's Queen
Elizabeth was crowned queen at the age of twenty-five, and ruled for almost half a century. Not all queens were like Elizabeth. Her troubles began at the end of her brother's time in power. He was persuaded by his cousin's advisers to stop Elizabeth from becoming queen of England. Elizabeth was a virgin queen, which meant she was not and never would be married, and that she is a religious symbol. She relied tediously on a group of trusted counselors led by William Cecil. Although Elizabeth was a trusted and suitable queen, she did not all the best choices, and made minor mistakes.
During The Reign
Elizabeth I ruled many years, and she achieved many different things during her reign. Elizabeth's reign is known as the "Elizabethan era", famous for all of the thriving of English Drama, managed by playwrights like William Shakespeare. Some historians are quite modest in their judgment of this time. They depict Elizabeth as a gruff, sometimes doubtful queen, who never knew how amazing she would become. She made so many different preparations to life in England, yet some disagreed, most honored her as an amazing women of human rights with a strong attitude. Elizabeth was an outstanding queen and a suitable woman to rule and care for England.
Achievements and Later Life
Elizabeth is a huge piece of England's history. Her father was as well, along with her mother, however she stood above all other kings and queens of the renaissance. Elizabeth was a fascinating woman, and a stunning queen. Her influential sayings and givings helped many people in those times. Her ways and family had influenced many. Although there were many things about her that not even historians had known about her, we still recognize her for the gifts she had given. She has changed our lives even from such a long time ago. Closer to the end of her reign, many non-civil and monetary problems drained her reputation. Elizabeth I died on March 24, 1603 at Richmond Palace, and was buried April 28, 1603.

Elizabeth was an extraordinary queen, and an amazing supporter of human rights. However, she had made some petty choice later on in life. She is a huge part of the history of England. To this day, she is recognized for her decisions and life in Tudor times.
